Momentive Technologies (MT) was recently awarded the prestigious “2023 Excellent Supplier – Service Stars Reward” at the Ferrotec Global Suppliers Conference, held shortly after SEMICON CHINA. This accolade reflects decades of dedicated service and strong partnership between MT and Ferrotec, particularly with their Quartz Business Unit (BU).
The award ceremony followed a significant engagement at SEMICON CHINA, where the Ferrotec Quartz BU General Manager discussed their expansion plans in Kumamoto, Japan, and Malaysia with Momentive Technologies representatives. Despite challenges such as construction speed and labor shortages, Ferrotec is set to increase its capacity in Japan with a target move-in date of 2025. Additionally, the company is preparing to launch the second phase of expansion at its Malaysian plant, which will see a doubling of its quartz fabrication capabilities.
